# Deploy a Caplin-supplied blade

We provide a variety of Platform blades in kit form that can you can purchase and deploy to your Caplin Platform using the Deployment Framework.

By convention the filename of each Caplin-supplied blade kit is `CPB__-blade_name__-__version__.zip`

To deploy a blade kit provided by Caplin Systems, follow the steps below:

1. Follow the steps outlined in [Deploy Platform components to the Framework](cdf-deploy-platform-components-to-the-framework.md).
2. If it’s an Adapter blade, configure it to run on the server machine(s) where you’ve deployed it. See [Change server hostnames](cdf-change-server-specific-configuration.md#change-server-hostnames) in [Change server-specific configuration](cdf-change-server-specific-configuration.md).
3. [Start](cdf-start-and-stop-components-and-blades.md) the blade (or for a Config blade or Service blade, restart the core component(s) that use it) on each of the server-machines where the blade is deployed.
