# IPv6 networking

From version 7, Liberator supports DataSource connections and StreamLink connections over IPv6.

You should read [DataSource: IPv6 networking](../datasource/datasource-ipv6-networking.md) even if you don’t intend to use IPv6. Hostname resolution is now platform dependent: hostnames that previously resolved to IPv4 addresses may now resolve to IPv6 addresses.
