# Connect to an IPv6 host

From version 7, StreamLink supports IPv6 addresses in URLs for Liberator, KeyMaster, and KeyMaster polling hosts.

## Specifying an IPv6 address in a URL

To specify the host component of a URL as an IPv6 address, use the square-bracket notation described in [RFC-2732](https://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc2732.txt).

For example, to connect to a Liberator at port 8080 on host 2001:db8:0:0:0:0:0:1, use the URL below:

```
