# CIS 8 release highlights

Highlights in the version 8 release of Caplin Platform’s DataSource Integration Libraries.

## New JVM support

**DataSource for Java** and the **Java integration libraries** now require OpenJDK 17 or OpenJDK 21 and support Intel (x86_64) and Arm (aarch64) CPU architectures.
